Train. Pray. Walk. Repeat.
The 2016 Pilgrimage to Life & Leadership

URGENT: Only 14 days left to apply for the Essay Contest!

ATTENTION YOUNG LEADERS:
CEC For Life is excited to announce our 2016 Pilgrimage to Life & Leadership Conference (and Essay Contest)!  Set to take place in beautiful Spain!

Details can be found below and on our website.  Check out the plans, then send in your applications because space is limited! (But the places this conference can take you are endless -- so get started!)

WHO CAN ATTEND?
This conference is open to a limited number of attendees, ages 18 to 30, looking for a unique learning experience that will develop the spiritual and practical components every leader needs to answer God's call on your life - whether that call is to ministry, the work force, or within your community.
WHAT ARE THE DATES?
The Pilgrimage to Life & Leadership Conference will take place July 12th-17th. We suggest that attendees (especially those traveling from America) arrive in Madrid by Sunday, July 10th, in order to arrive in Salamanca by Monday evening.

JULY 12th - 17th, 2016
The first portion of the conference will be held July 12th & 13th in the city of Salamanca. This will include two days of extensive training with Bishop Elmer Belmonte from Madrid and Fr. Terry Gensemer of CEC For Life.

On July 14th, attendees will begin a four day pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago, arriving at Santiago de Compostela by July 17th for a final mass.

HOW CAN I SIGN UP?
This conference is designed to develop leaders. We are looking for young people who demonstrate maturity in their Christian walk and who desire intense leadership training for the future.

Each attendee must complete the 2016 Pilgrimage to Life & Leadership Application in order to attend. (Be sure to also download the .) Conference Registration is $30 per attendee, which includes a t-shirt and certificate.
Because attendance is extremely limited, applications will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis -- and submissions are now open.  Please note that there are only 25 spots available:
  •  4 are available to Americans (2 of which are reserved for American winners of the 2016 Life & Leadership Essay Contest), and
  • 21 are available to Europeans (2 of which are also reserved for European winners of the 2016 Life & Leadership Essay Contest).
WHAT IS THE LIFE & LEADERSHIP ESSAY CONTEST?

We thought you'd never ask! CEC For Life will sponsor 4 young leaders who would like to attend this conference - 2 Americans, and 2 Europeans.

To enter the essay contest, you will be required to submit the completed 2016 Pilgrimage to Life & Leadership Application (and Reference Letter Forms) along with an 8-10 page essay written in response to the following:

We live in a global community. Do you think one person can create significant change globally, whether in the sphere of the culture of life or any area that would advance civilization in a positive way? How is this done? Support your answer by discussing at least one relevant example of a leader who brought about significant change. Discuss this leader's successes and failures that occurred along the way.
ESSAY CONTEST REQUIREMENTS:
  • To be considered, your essay and completed application (with References) must be received no later than Tuesday, May 10th via mail (See Application Pg. 4 for further details).
